(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has informed the chairman of the terrorist Palestinian Authority (PA) that Israel is willing to supply guns to the Fatah terror group.
NRG reports that Olmert has already given his word to Egyptian President Mubarak and to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas that "Israel would be willing to transfer weapons to Fatah, subject to recommendations by US General Keith Dayton who is in charge of this matter." he leaders are currently meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh in the Sinai Peninsula.
Fatah routinely carries out attacks against Israeli civilians. A recent attack that was carried out with Fatah involvement was the January 29th suicide attack in Eilat that killed three innocents.
Ok, hold on, stop the tape, where did I hear this before???
"Stop being afraid. There is no danger that these guns will be used against us. The purpose of this ammunition for the Palestinian police is to be used in their vigilant fight against the Hamas. They won't dream of using it against us, since they know very well that if they use these guns against us once, at that moment the Oslo Accord will be annulled and the IDF will return to all the places that have been given to them. The Oslo Accord, despite what the opposition claims, is not irrevocable." -Yitzchak Rabin
Isn't it interesting how history repeats itself? As Santayana said, "those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
